(Below is the information for the King Cake Coterie for 2019. Stay tuned for details for next year's Coterie- the ultimate King Cake of the Week club! We'll be announcing the lineup in Fall, 2019.)
Introducing the KING CAKE COTERIE! This is the ultimate King Cake package. Each week members will receive a special exclusive King Cake from one of the best bakers from around New Orleans and Southeast Louisiana beginning on King's Day with the world premiere of the brand-new EPIPHANY King Cake!
This limited-edition product will be available only until December 31, 2018, or until supplies last! The Coterie will only be available for the first 200 people. When that sells out, we hopefully will be able to schedule another round, but nothing is guaranteed so act fast!
King Cake pick-up will be on the designated date from a special reserved line at the King Cake Hub, 4800 Canal St in Mid-City. No waiting!

Sunday 1/6: Kings Day! Be the first in the world to try the brand-new king cake collaboration between Pizza Nola, the King Cake Hub and Gambino’s Bakery: introducing EPIPHANY! Destined to be the hottest cake of 2019, the cake honors 70 years of Carnival tradition while topping with a modern twist of your new favorite cream-cheese icing.
Tuesday, 1/8: Get ready for King Cake Tuesdays! Cannata’s grocery starts off our weekly fun with a King Berry Royale King Cake described as "berry delicious with gooey butter" made exclusively for members of the King Cake Coterie! The People’s Choice winner at the 2017 King Cake Festival, Cannata’s offers 60 flavors of king cakes all made from scratch. 2019 marks Cannata’s 80th anniversary serving Southeast Louisiana.
Tuesday, 1/15: Celebrate Carnival while making a difference! We are proud to offer the exclusive Maple Bacon Pecan King Cake made in the kitchens of Second Harvest Food Bank helping to provide thousands of meals across South Louisiana and beyond. As a fundraiser for the organization, Second Harvest’s three varieties of King Cakes have garnered much acclaim. Chef Frank Brightsen called it one of his Top 5!
Tuesday, 1/22: Chaya Conrad brings all sorts of deliciousness to Bywater Bakery stemming from her tenure as Bakery Manager at both Whole Foods Market and Rouses Market. Her Berry Chantilly King Cake is not to be missed. Coterie members will get the yummy Pineapple Passion Fruit King Cake which is destined to be a big hit!
Tuesday 1/29: In 1975, Ha Do hopped on a small boat, leaving his family behind, and made his way from South Vietnam and the threat of Communist rule. Eventually making his way to Louisiana he opened up Hi Do bakery in 1989 and was reunited with his family two years later. Now, the family-owned bakery has throngs of loyal customers enjoying fresh French bread, pastries and a very popular king cake. Hi Do presents the King Cake Coterie with a unique Chocolate Cream Cheese King Cake!
Tuesday 2/5: Celebrating their 60th anniversary in 2019, Balestra’s grocery store in Belle Chasse has been satisfying customers with their popular green onion sausage, acclaimed fried chicken, and Cajun and Creole favorites. They also make an award-winning King Cake! The only multi-award winner at the 2018 King Cake Festival. Balestra’s Pumpkin Cannoli King Cake won trophies for Best Non-Traditional and Best Presentation. Balestra’s will showcase their taste and creativity with a Caramel Crepes Du Leche King Cake available exclusively for the Coterie!
Tuesday, 2/12: Voodough bakery products are available Saturdays at the Gretna farmers market. After Katrina, Voodough started making high-quality breads, cookies, pies, and King Cakes. Chef Angela Wilson makes an old-school plain brioche-style king cake. This is an unfilled, cinnamon-free King cake that is soaked in syrup before frosting. It’ll put a spell on you.

Tuesday 2/19: JUST ANNOUNCED! New Orleans Center of Creative Arts' Culinary Arts program presents a "Purple, Green and Gold”- a twist off the traditional Galette de Rios with a golden puff pastry, blueberry compote, lime cream cheese and almond pecan fillings. We are proud to support NOCCA's Culinary Arts program by offering this exclusive king cake as part of the Coterie.
Tuesday 2/26: Celebrating their 70th anniversary in 2019, Gambino’s Bakery is the King of King Cakes! Cakes are made by hand fresh daily with a sweet, special recipe Danish dough that is infused with cinnamon swirls throughout. Of course, don’t forget about Gambino’s doberge cake, the only bakery with Beulah Ledner’s original recipe! Made exclusively for the King Cake Coterie, these amazing tasty treats will converge as Gambino’s proudly presents a Doberge King Cake!
